Is an Out of Sight Dog Fence Cause Pain?
There are a few pet owners who want to understand how an electric invisible fence works, and if it harms their dogs. They hear expressions like electric fences and shock collars, which gives the impression of being very painful. Some animal right activists think that using any form of electrical training products are bad for dogs and so misrepresent all electric dog training methods.

The reality is that an invisible PetSafe fence is very humane. The correction a dog receives is similar to a static shock and is designed to startle or certainly get your dogs attention. It is no different to the way the mother dog disciplines her pups. Should her puppy mess around and annoy the mother, the mother will chastise the puppy by nibbling it around the neck. The puppy soon gets the message and corrects its behavior. This is exactly the same way an invisible dog fence works, when the dog attempts to get outside the boundary it gets a nip on the neck. It doesn't harm the dog, and it does work.
Often dogs when let loose in the back yard like to escape by jumping the fence or burrowing their way underneath it. What makes the situation worse is having a pet dog that is difficult to train, is very disobedient and if anything feel that they are the master of you and so takes no notice of your instructions about not escaping over the fence. The only conventional solution to this issue then boils down to either tether your dog or never let him out. Now that is what I call being inhumane.
Because a dog fence cost quite a bit of money, dog owners put a lot of thought into it before buying one. So you find them buying a dog fence as they do not have any other options, especially if their pet dog doubles up as a guard dog because you want them to patrol your grounds. There are many risks to your dog if it does escape from the security of your backyard, if it finds itself on a road, it runs the risk of being injured. If it starts to chase farm animals then there definitely can be some very serious consequences. If a farmer catches a dog chasing his animals, then he has every right to shoot it dead. So when you think about these problems, it makes the electric dog fence a very humane option.
If you are looking for a dog fence you will be pleased to know that the modern dog fences are very simple to install. They cater for any number of dogs, and as they are invisible, they are very discrete.
