Havanese Litter Box Training – Myth Or Reality? What’s The Use Of Havanese Litter Box Training?

One of the great things about Havanese is that they are small, which make them perfect for cramped, modern lifestyles. However, their small size also means they have a small bladder. They physically cannot “hold it” like a bigger dog or a human can. A small dog like the Havanese needs relief about every four hours. Sadly, you can’t always get home for your lunch break in order to let your dog out. This is where the idea of Havanese litter box training sounds interesting.

Tackling Havanese litter box training is just like every other aspect in Havanese training – you need patience, persistence and even more patience. Think about how long it took for your dog to learn to be housebroken – and now you have to take that concept and bend it. Your Havanese has learned that any elimination indoors is bad. Now, you have to retrain him or her that eliminating in one particular spot indoors (and that spot only) is good.
If you’ve ever had to housetrain a puppy, then you already have the basic training down for teaching your Havanese to use a litter pan. You watch for the signs that your Havanese has to go – sniffing, circling, whining, scratching at the door – and then you lead the Havanese to the litter box. But you can lead a Havanese to the litter box, but you can’t always make them go. Never yell, hit or swear at your dog. They confused enough as to where they are supposed to go as it is.

Some things you can do to encourage and reassure your Havanese that using a litter pan is okay is to place newspaper with the dog’s urine on it in the pan. You can also teach your dog to eliminate on command. Although dog training books will usually not have information specifically about Havanese litter box training, they will on how to teach your dog to eliminate on command.
You need patience and consistency when teaching your dog to eliminate by verbal command. You need everyone in the family to follow along and use the same command. You need to use this short command like “Show time,” or “Go, please,” EVERY time the dog pees or poops. Yes – every single time. Give the command, praise the dog and treat. Eventually, they associate the command with the act of elimination.

If this sounds familiar, it should be. This Havanese litter box training tip is a variation of the conditioned response old Pavlov did in his famous experiments of teaching a dog to drool at the sound of a bell. Every dog learns at his or her own rate. Some take a lot longer to learn than others. If your dog seems to get the idea but still has accidents, a trip to the vet is on order to rule out any medical conditions.

This article was written to spread the knowledge of Havanese care and Havanese training in the hopes that many healthy Havanese will not become abandoned. All animal shelters and recues should be giving away free dog training books to each dog’s adoptive family.

Learn About Poodle Paper Training

Now that you have finally given yourself a break and allowed yourself to get a new puppy, you may be starting to feel a little concerned for the brand new carpet you just had installed. And that of course is a natural reaction no matter how old your floors are because when someone really starts thinking about puppies, they automatically start thinking about the mess that they will cause for you.

And yes, your new puppy is going to make messes while going through Poodle training, the messes do not have to continue for long if you really take hold of the situation. By making sure that you have a game plan for Poodle paper training for when the new pup comes home, you are better off then most people. You do not have to fear training your new friend and if done right it should only take a couple weeks.
Whether you are thinking about how you are going to handle Poodle paper training a few weeks before or after the arrival of your new friend, now is the time to really take charge and to make sure that you have everything you need in order for your Poodle training to go well and to get the best results that’s possible because no one likes having a mess all over the place.

Now, in order to make this go as easy as possible, it is best to purchase a few packs of the absorbent and waterproof pee pads that are made just for this occasion. These pee pads are designed so that they will not leak onto your floor so that the mess is contained. Also, they are scented with a special scent that will attract the puppy to the pad so then they will naturally go potty there instead of on your carpet.
Now that you have the pee pads home, it is time to begin your Poodle paper training with every ounce of patience that you have. It is important to stay consistent and to follow the rules just as you expect the puppy to follow the rules. First start the Poodle paper training by locating the area in which the puppy tends to relieve him or herself at and place a few pads down there.

Allow him or her a few days to catch onto the scent of the pad and to begin to use it. Once you see that your puppy has begun using the pee pads regularly, you will want to slowly move the pad a few feet in the direction of where you really want the pee pads to be kept. Every time you move the pad a few feet, leave it there for a few days so that the puppy can find it and just used to using it. Before you know it your puppy will be completely trained and will go in a location that is more suitable then under your dining room table.

When paper training is done properly, you will see that Poodle training is not as hard as most people tend to think. Even the best of the best dog training books will tell you that proper Poodle paper training from the beginning is essential.

When You Should Start Bichon Frise Training

There are literally hundreds of different breeds of dog that you can choose from, but one that you should definitely consider is the Bichon Frise. They are truly kind and adorable dogs, and if well trained they make perfect family pets. It is very important for you to make sure that you are well educated on the matter of Bichon Frise training before deciding to go with this breed of dog as your pet.

There are a few particular reasons for this, one being that Bichon Frise dogs tend to be quite stubborn, and therefore are often more difficult to train. It is important that you are aware of this and willing and able to put in the extra time and effort that is typically required with these dogs compared to other breeds. Most importantly of all you need to understand that there is specific training that should be implemented on Bichon Frise dogs.
There are a few different issues in particular that are important when it comes to the issue of Bichon Frise training. Socialization is one of the most major issues of all, and in particular the Bichon Frise tends to have a problem with shyness if they are not exposed properly to other people and dogs when they are younger. They need extensive exposure to people and to unusual sights and sounds in order to grow up sociable and friendly.

Separation anxiety is also often a problem with these dogs, and they actually don’t even like to be left alone for more than a few hours. If they are left on their own too often they will definitely not be happy about it, and they will let you know this by barking and destructive chewing. You really need to take these facts seriously into consideration, because if you are someone that is usually out all day working, for instance, then you may want to consider another breed of dog as your choice for a pet.
Bichon Frise paper training can definitely be trying, but the results can be great as long as you are able and willing to put the required time and effort into the process. Training your dog to go in the same place, by paper training, is a good way to housebreak your Bichon Frise. Slowly move the paper toward and then out of the door after your dog becomes successful at using the paper every time.

If you do decide to do the Bichon Frise training yourself, there are a couple of things in particular that you want to make sure to keep in mind throughout the process. One is to be repetitive, because this is the only way that you are going to be able to teach your Bichon Frise anything. You also need to make sure that you are stern and consistent, but without being mean. Getting angry at your dog is never going to solve anything and is only going to get them and you discouraged.

Especially if you are planning on having the dog around children, Bichon Frise training is incredibly important. Dog training books can be incredibly helpful, and assist you with your Bichon Frise training.

So it is absolutely necessary that you train your pet properly.
Before you buy a dog or puppy, you must understand that it is a good idea to start at the earliest. In fact start puppy training when your puppy is around five to six weeks old. Even though it is never too late to train a pet, beginning the training early will definitely make things lot easier. But what is the best system to train a dog? There are number of tricks and methods anyone can use to train their puppies. However most of the successful dog trainer will agree that reinforcing positive behavior is the best trick to choose.

Avoid Punishments, Give Reward
Let me explain this further. Similar to human child, dogs also respond better to rewards and treat than punishments. Whenever your dog performs your instructions correctly, give him small rewards. Remember you can speak to kids in a language they can understand. Yet, the children disobey our orders. However when a dog disobeys your order it is mostly because the puppy didn't understand what exactly you want him to do. That means, you have to train your dog properly.
Many times it is found that dog owners hit the dogs nose with magazines or newspaper every time the dog makes a mistake. This is not right. In fact this could counter productive. Your dog might have accidentally made a mistake and if you punish him for something which is not his mistake, then the dog will not be motivated to follow your directions anymore. Another common mistake found in the dog owners is that, they shout at the dog. This will confuse your dog. Are you shouting because you are happy or are you shouting because you are angry? Be firm in your tone, but you don't have to yell at him. I am sure everyone who dealt with kids knows how to be firm in their commands yet friendly. This holds true for puppy potty training as well.

Stop Barking..
Some times you will find that your dog is unnecessarily barking. Before you run to your favorite pet shop to buy a barking collar, please understand that a dog can bark due to various reasons. Your dog can bark if he is hungry, thirsty or excessively hot or cold. Pets are like us and they need food and water. During extreme they also need to be able to stay indoor.
